Needs Rewriting
[edit]It's more like a list, as opposed to an article. I mean, this COULD be a category if there was enough thought put into it. Needs to be rewritten, and expanded to serve a more useful purpose. I'll work on this article shortly.

- I agree this needs major work, but I don't think it can be replaced with a category. There needs to be an article which can guide people to the appropriate condition without relying solely on the title of the relevant article, which is all a category can do. Hence I've removed the {SplitCategory} tag. -R. S. Shaw 18:59, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
"inborn error of metabolism" is not covered.
The intrinsic factors within the healthy stomach mucosa are not present, or... are insufficient to produce nutritional elements necessary for good health.
For this reason, "inborn errors of metabolism" need more detailed coverage and discussion ...or ilumunation, as many people have ulcers, or an tendency to gastritis, which can impair digestion and assimilation of nutrients. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hunter10039 (talk • contribs) 00:52, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
scurvy
[edit]hi how what are ways to prevent scurvy and the daily diet and specific foods should be consitered?
(anything high in vitamine c,scurvy is a condition, rather than a disease, consisting of a lack of vitamin c,thus the cells become unglued and massive internal and external bleeding ensues, try orange juice,or use wikipedia to look up foods high in vitamin c)

Poor Nutrition
[edit]Americans are overweight and starving themselves to death. How can you be fat and starving at the same time? Eating empty calories and lots of carbohydrates. Or not eating at all and just dieting. We get thyroid problems, hardening of the arteries, and heart and stroke disease. Just being thirty pounds over your target weight and you are obese. Statistics
[edit]A chart showing how many people worldwide are affected by each disorder would be an interesting addition to this overview. -- Beland (talk) 16:03, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Malnutrition
[edit]FWIW, Malnutrition#Illness has a more complete list of deficiencies that could be incorporated into this article. Pro crast in a tor (talk) 06:30, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
This is technically the same as malnutrition
