Question
[edit]Doesn't the 21st century begin January 1st, 2001?
According to 2000, the year 2000 is still XX century. Please move the 2000 cases.--151.18.165.95 (talk) 08:02, 15 December 2019 (UTC)

This makes absolutely no sense, as the name of the list isn't List of unsolved murders in the 21st century. The name of the list is List of unsolved murders 2000-present Meaning that it makes absolutely no sense not to include the year 2000.
Not only that, but this is the kind of technicality that nobody honestly cares about, and just confuses people.StrangeApparition2011 (talk)
Ivashevka massacre
[edit]Why is this listed as "unsolved"? The article itself (Ivashevka massacre) indicates that several people were tried and convicted of the murders. Or, is this considered "unsolved" because some experts dispute the "official version" of the massacre? Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 03:46, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
Gabby Petito
[edit]Thoughts on adding Gabby Petito to this page, or should we wait until the case moves forward some more? It's unsolved right now, but it's likely that a conclusion will be reached soon, so I'm not sure if it's worth it or not. Lektricfergus 18:26, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
- Per the article, the FBI closed the investigation in January 2022 after publicizing Brian Laundrie's written confession. StonyBrook babble 19:52, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
Boldfacing of names
[edit]Why was this done? We do it on none of these other lists, and this contradicts MOS:BOLDSYN. Daniel Case (talk) 22:12, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- It doesn't seem to make sense, so I would agree to have it all removed. StonyBrook babble 20:01, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
Sydney Land and Nehemiah Kauffman
[edit]Murdered in 2016 when an assailant (presumed to be known to the victims) arrived at their apartment and shot both point-blank, execution style. The prime suspect is affiliated with organized crime and sex trafficking, and receiving protection from crooked police officers. No arrests have been made. 2600:8801:388D:D200:107B:4159:13FE:A857 (talk) 18:27, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
