This seems to be a hopelessly ambitious list. There are more than 600,000 "administrative villages" in China, and each administrative village is usually made up of several "natural villages". Are we planning to put them all in this list? -Zanhe (talk) 19:53, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Lists and articles on Wikipedia can always be spun off into branch articles when they become too long, as per WP:SPINOUT and WP:SPINOFF. North America1000 20:22, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
For the list to be reasonably complete, you'll need at least 2,000 spinoff lists, one for each county-level division, each containing a few hundred entries. -Zanhe (talk) 21:51, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Obviously no one would try to list every village in a country on a single page. The main point of this list is to prevent village articles (usually people creating articles about their hometowns or about random villages that suddenly got into the news) from being orphaned, since we don't even have articles on most township-level divisions yet. Many years in the future I suppose this will become lists of villages in China with links to appropriate sublists. WP:EVENTUALISM. 210.6.254.106 (talk) 06:17, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
