I can easily fix the "orphan" issue. The length of the article really reflects the fact that Chapu's output was huge and I would have thought a "list" could be neither too short or too long. It is a list. Any comments/ideas would be welcome.

As for questions of style etc and the invitation to "copy edit" I would welcome anyone making improvements. Thought I had done a decent job but obviously not.

The tags have been removed.

However the door is of course open for any wikipedians to do "copy edits".

As for the length I can only repeat the point that this list is long because I have endeavoured to make it comprehensive and cover as much of Chapu's work as I could.

@Weglinde: Hi. I'm going to attempt to do the copy edit work on this article, but the article length issue is something, since I know absolutely nothing about Chapu, I would be thankful of your input on. I think the length has more to do with organization than actual length. I think if you take a look at the page regarding the list of works by Michelangelo, that would help you understand. Each work does not need to have its own separate subsection. Another good example is the List of works by Raphael. The last example would be List of architectural works by Edmund Sharpe. Let me know which one you think would best fit this subject, and I'll attempt the edit. Onel5969 (talk) 03:00, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Biography should move to the Henri Chapu article[edit]

The biography of Henri Chapu on this page should be merged into that in the Henri Chapu article. A list of works article should contain only the briefest detail on the artist: name (wikilinked), dates, profession and nationality. Verbcatcher (talk) 14:04, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
