Action movies pre 1962[edit]

Was Dr. NO the first ever action movie? I find that hard to believe 193.120.116.179 (talk) 21:04, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not exactly. I'd argue that action was mostly found in some early Swashbucklers of silent films. But action really came into it's own with spy films like the bond ones being more glamorized spy films about him dodging a dozen bullets while having a new gal every film rather then you know, a more accurate depiction of a spy with a more political view.
