Original intent of the page

So, who are you to arbitrarily decide what event is "Columbine like?" Is the intent of this article to be a pop piece, or informative? When Mike Blankenship was killed, he was the only one killed that day by the gunman. How the hell can you say though, that posting that information makes that event, or one on one attacks less meaningful? It meant a hell of a lot to us! Massacre? What's that? Is one person being murdered not a massacre to that person, or to their family? "List of school related attacks"? We got a problem (should we AfD this thing?)

We have missed all of the third world attacks 2010, and for the twenty first century, we are HEAVILY biased toward the western world.

Well, the recent mass stabbings at Chinese schools have been added now. I haven't heard of any bigger incidents in Thailand, Japan, Singapore, or India in the last couple of months though, and it is nearly impossible to keep track of all the minor incidents, because quite often they are only reported in the national or regional media. So, if you happen to stumble over an attack that is not included in this list yet, you are free to either add it yourself, or post a link here at the talk page, so somebody else can do it. Oh, come on, first of all, systemic bias is no reason to start an AfD, otherwise the whole Wikipedia should be put up for deletion. Second, the Chinese mass stabbings in recent years are covered fairly well, and that there was another one yesterday, which is not yet included, isn't really that much of a drama. Split

Related to the previous talk topic, I think this page could be split into primary/secondary school attacks. At the moment it's far too long and basically unusable. I didn't suggest new names in the split tag because of the ongoing debate about nomenclature: should it be primary/kindergarten for instance. I've been bold and split the article into primary, secondary, post-secondary, and unsuccessful. Given the sheer size of the page, it seemed wise to just get any reasonable split done.
