Length and loanword inclusion

[edit]

These tables need tidying up and shortening. They should not be as long as the ones in the English orthography article as Catalan spelling is considerably more transparent than English spelling. Loanwords should not be included as that is not Catalan pronunciation, that is Catalans saying a word from another language (with whatever degree of accuracy). If there are any correspondences of loanwords that really do have their inclusion justified due to regularity in terms of appearing in many different words and these words being used frequently, then they should be in their own section. I suspect this doesn't apply to many, if any, cases, though: I'm seeing things like Mc (as part of a Scottish surname) being defined and that is definitely just bloat for the table. In its current state it's difficult to get useful information from it. Anditres (talk) 04:42, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
