What does Local Government Areas of Darwin mean in the context of the category? Of these places, such as the Shire of Lichfield, only Darwin is in Darwin. Surely the NT local government areas cat is enough. --Bduke (talk) 23:12, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'd agree, although Palmerston is entirely within the Darwin SD. But it's too small a category for any practical purpose (they normally say 6 is the absolute minimum a category should aspire to). Orderinchaos 14:16, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What is SD? --Bduke (talk) 23:15, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, talking in code. :) Statistical Division. It's broadly speaking how capital cities are delineated. Orderinchaos 23:46, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How do we find out what the one for Darwin covers? If it covers Palmerston, it might well cover at least part of Litchfield (where I used to live) and Cox Peninsula. On the cat, shall we just depopulate it, as all the articles in it are in the Local Governments of the NT cat, and then speedy it on its way or shall we put it to CFD? Enjoy your ANZAC Day, mate. --Bduke (talk) 00:10, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I spent it in Melbourne first watching Essendon get beaten (somewhat unfortunately, as my mate and I were barracking for them) and then at a Porcupine Tree concert which was well worth my short visit. This is a map of the SD, related info actually says it includes all of Palmerston, East Arm and Litchfield which came as a surprise to me. My advice would be to leave them in LG of NT and delete the underpopulated cat - we've done the same in WA, even considering Perth has about 30 of our 144 LGAs. Thanks. Then Coomalie is not in this Darwin SD according to your map. I have removed it and will put the cat to CfD. Glad you enjoyed Melbourne again. --Bduke (talk) 11:20, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
