Removal of categories[edit]

'Category:Lost cities and towns' and 'Category:Former populated places in Australia' have been removed for the following reasons:

  1. 'Category:Lost cities and towns' has a main article, Lost city, which describes a 'lost city' as " fell into terminal decline and became extensively or completely uninhabited, with the consequence that the site's former significance was no longer known to the wider world." This point of view does not reflect the content of the article which describes a situation where land use has changed from traditional use to agriculture and then to conservation and without what appears to be no loss of knowledge about this change.
  2. 'Category:Former populated places in Australia' - this category is in conflict with information in the article that 44 people were living within the national park at the 2016 census.
