Info Box and Committee Members

[edit]

I have reverted the addition of the entire committee to the Info Box at the top of the page (Old version with all the committee). There is no real reason for adding the entire committee, considering that many of the roles change year to year. As such, I've reverted back to it just including the ex-officio members of the committee as set out in the Constitution of the Literary and Historical Society. I've also changed the order to reflect the order in which they appear in the same document.

If people wish to include the committee, I'm happy for them to try to change my mind but otherwise it shouldn't appear in a wiki page. It makes the page look untidy and if people wish to know the committee there is always the L&H main site.

I ask that whomever is editing this page to include the entire committee state the reasoning behind it here, as I can see no reason to have them non-officers listed. No other debating pages do it and indeed most do not list the current officers at all, just stating the notable past officers. Considering this, I may reformat the article to reflect this in a week or so.

I fully agree with Plavin's stance. We don't even cite a third-party source for the committee's existence, much less its membership. Listing all those members in the infobox is excessive. Huon (talk) 22:15, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted some vandalism. It was claimed that the Strauss Ball was one of the worst attended balls in the college calendar. Not only was there no source for this given, it conflicts somewhat with last year, where tickets sold out. 89.100.52.69(talk) 12:05, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
