Regarding the departure airport - Belfast or Dublin. I'm checking this authoritatively and will come back on this. Because the game was in Belfast I have always assumed that they flew direct. Most people didn't realise that the game was actually in Belfast, they always assume that the game was in Dublin since that's where the current games are played. It's a strange one. I totally agree that the game was in Belfast, it just appears that the flight took off from Dublin. All the linked web sites, plus two books I have on the subject state the flight was from Dublin. This includes a rugby book which mentions the Belfast match too. Look forward to your investigations. Operator name[edit]

The name of the operator of the flight was not Airflight, but Fairflight, so I've changed the article. For proof, please see this photo of passengers boarding the doomed flight where the start of the word 'Fairflight' is visible by the passenger door, and read the 16 March 1950 article from Flight Magzine, dated just four days after the crash, where Fairflight is also used. Lastly, the Aviation Safety network also uses Fairflight in their crash description for this accident. --Itsfullofstars (talk) 03:05, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I changed it back before I saw this note, Airflight and Fairflight were both owned by Doug Bennett and at the time of the accident it was actually owned by the Airflight bit. Quote from Flight International[edit]

I have quoted the source, the FI article, rather than the Ministry document. I can quote directly, using "c.g." for centre of gravity, but the required form, as in MOS:QUOTE, is to insert clarifying material within single brackets. I will restore these shortly, to comply with WP practice. The best solution would be to find a source giving the direct text.
