Request for info, references etc.[edit]

I've put this article together as best I can with the sources I've been able to track down, but I'm missing a few things. Would anyone out there have any reliable info/sources on any of the following:

1. Lofty's Date of Birth. I've tracked down a Register of births entry for a "Donald Large" in Witney, Oxfordshire for October, November & December 1930, but that's a) Not specific enough, b) Isn't conclusively Lofty anyway, and C) Constitutes original research.

2. Medals awarded. The MID I've got covered, but, as far as I can tell (and I have no military background or specialist knowledge whatsoever, so could be completely off the mark on this) he should also have been awarded a Korea Medal, a General Service Medal (1918) with an Arabian Peninsula clasp, and a General Service Medal (1962) with a Borneo clasp and a South Arabia clasp. Presumably various others as well? Long service awards? Sundry others? Unfortunately I have no reliable sources to back any of this up.

3. A freely licensed or other usable photo of some sort. I've found some photos on the internet ([1]) but I've no idea about copyright holders. Another possible one at the Imperial War Museum archive which I think may show Lofty standing on the right of the group. Height and face look about right. Far from certain though.

4. Any more info on his early life: parent's names and professions, where he went to school, how he did at school, influences, any other jobs before joining the Army. Anything of that ilk really. I think this is probably the major weakness of the article as it stands, as there really isn't much detail.
