Is this page really needed?[edit]

With such minor changes ever being made to the Cheifs' logos and uniforms, I feel that this entire article should be moved to the main Kansas City Chiefs Wikipedia page. Anyone else? JohnnySeoul (talk) 15:08, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If Chicago Bears logos, uniforms, and mascots and Logos and uniforms of the New York Giants exist, I don't see why not. I think it's best to keep it separate because all the images on the Chiefs' main page makes it look too cluttered. I'm working on trying to get the Chiefs' main page up to a good article status and I'm sure the reviewer will complain if we have all the images merged to the main page. conman33 (. . .talk) 19:08, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • The problem is that both the Chicago Bears and the NY Giants have no need for a seperate page too. If properly displayed, any page looks good...regardless of the amount of articles and/or pictures. I guess we will wait and see how the vast majority feels. "Alternate" jersey[edit]

Where was it mentioned as an "on-field"? Its just an official alternate jersey, regardless if its worn on the field or in the stands. Will you also include the pink jerseys sold? How about the yellow ones, or the ones in futuristic patterns? Those are also sold to fans. I'm sorry, but even if true it's not a reliable, third-party, published source. Please don't take the tag out again until somebody can provide one. For what it's worth, I include myself in that - I'm looking, too. This isn't about singling you out, it's about maintaining our standards to avoid spreading inaccurate information. It seems that you are the only one with a problem. If the Public Relations department for the Kansas City Chiefs says its an official alternate jersey to be worn by the fans, than its an OFFICIAL ALTERNATE JERSEY....end of discussion. The PR department are the ones that have the exact answer. Second, the Official Chiefs Pro Shop is the official shop of the KC Chiefs....the only alernate jersey you can purchase on there is the BLACK alternate jersey. That is the OFFICIAL shop!! [1] **IMPORTANT NOTE: You will notice that the black jersey is the ONLY jersey listed as the official alternate jeresy....regardless if its a replica or not. This is the official alternate jersey for the fans. Show me another jersey listed on the OFFICIAL Kansas City Chiefs pro shop that is listed as an alternate jersey and you have a legit arguement. First, I am not the only one who has challenged the inclusion here. Second, if you're going to cite that shop link, then the jersey should be identified as "alternate replica" since nowhere on that site is it listed as a team authentic. If you want, you can include it, but we just need wording that's good for everyone. What must be included is "the Kansas City Chiefs have never worn the jersey." I am a Chiefs fan. I live in Kansas City. I've been to at least 70 games for the past 12 years and watched this team my entire life. The only jerseys they wear are red jersey with white pants, white jersey with red pants, and all white uniforms. Proof of the all-white uniforms come in the Chiefs' 2007 playoff game against Indianapolis, and the September 2006 game where Trent Green was injured. They were Lamar Hunt's favorite jerseys. These black jerseys are barely seen ANYWHERE besides discount clothing racks. The team had plans once to have a gold/yellow top, but those plans were scrapped because like all-black uniforms, it would be a hassle to players to wear them in Kansas City's atmosphere and temperature because it's pretty damn hot here sometimes. Like SixFourThree said, you should note in the article that the black jersey is a team replica jersey sold for merchandise only.
