Not incunabula[edit]

The “ study of incunabula”. Incunabula are printed books, whereas Lombardic script is a wholly manuscript hand. Lombardic capitals were laboriously inserted by hand into some luxurious early printed books, but they didn’t get rendered as typefaces until modern times.
