font support

[edit]

Since most computers don't support the ꟾ character out of the box because because they don't ship with the required fonts, most users will see a box or a box with hexadecimal digits instead of the character.

I don't know if there is a way to show a fall back image on Wikipedia, but the current situation is unacceptable.

You can use {{unichar}} with an image param to display the "ꟾ" character encoded at U+A7FE, but that will always use the image even when the reader does have font support. In text, I'm more interested in being able to copy and paste correctly. An image would be okay for an illustration in a navbox. For what it's worth, I have 7 fonts on my PC that contain this character. ⇔ ChristTrekker 15:42, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
