Level of vandalism

[edit]

There seems to be a lot of vandalism on this page. Is there any way they can be blocked from posting and constantly changing out the correct info? --Estrill5766 00:07, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, there is a way to prevent vandalism on this page. First off, Long's Drugs sucks ass!!! Now if Long's would continue sucking ass, then the vandalism would stop. Easy as that stupid!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.182.9.189 (talk) 22:18, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, nice, he probably shops at Rite Aid or something. Longs Drugs was indeed "The Best Drug Store In Town." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.191.231 (talk) 00:59, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Longs was a great place to work and to shop. I'm very sorry to see that CVS has taken them over. Why did Bob Long decide to get rid of his stores? Clearly CVS won't be able to compete with the customer service that Longs had to offer.

Updating article on conversion of Longs to CVS name

[edit]

Since CVS is currently converting many of the Longs Drugs stores to CVS/Pharmacy stores, this article needs to be updated to reflect this. I did a little updating of the intro somewhat to reflect this but I can see the article needs further updating. What needs to be done is the following:

  • The language needs throughout needs reflect that CVS now fully owns the Longs Drugs chain.
  • It needs more info on the conversion of Longs stores to CVS stores currently in progress.

Activist slant and poor writing on Hawaii Expansion

[edit]

I recently came back from a vacation in Hawaii and am disappointed to read the horribly one-sided activist slant in this section of the Longs Drugs article. Although it is apparently a hot-button local issue, this kind of subjective rhetoric is inappropriate for a Wikipedia article. I will edit the section to better make it meet the site's standards. The contributor appears to be anti-CVS/Longs Drugs and it clouds his or her judgment in what was written. 67.58.151.216 (talk) 07:28, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Discrepancy in number of Longs Drugs in Hawaii

[edit]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CVS_Health says "Longs Drugs is a retail pharmacy chain with approximately 40 drug stores throughout the state of Hawaii." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longs_Drugs says "Longs Drugs is an American chain with approximately 70 drugstores throughout the state of Hawaii and formerly in the Continental US."

Don't know which is right, but they can't both be right. Please fix whichever is wrong. 47.139.46.239 (talk) 02:17, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
