The article is anyway a stub. So why is the {{expand}} template needed? --Soumyasch 06:04, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Retitle[edit]

Is there any reason why the title of this page is not Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology if that's the full name? – b_jonas 14:41, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File:Lords.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Lords.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Ampersand in title[edit]

@Muhandes: I moved the article, replacing the "and" with "&", based on the organization's actual name (AFAICT). WP:TITLE does not mention "&" or "ampersand", and MOS:& says, somewhat tangentially, In normal text and headings, use and instead of the ampersand (&): January 1 and 2, not January 1 & 2. But retain an ampersand when it is a legitimate part of a proper noun, such as in Up & Down or AT&T.. The first example is bad because it has moved to "... and ...", but that is apparently because it is the correct title of the song. AT&T, though, is a good example. A search shows thousands of others of others before it times out (with all due deference to WP:OSE, that is ). —[AlanM1(talk)]— 18:15, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@AlanM1: Thanks for letting me know. --Muhandes (talk) 06:07, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Affiliation[edit]

Affiliation status of this college is unclear. As of 28 July 2019 the college claims to be affiliated to Osmania University (OU) on their logo.[1] However, OU does not list the college[2] and by itself, I don't think the institute's statement is independent. On top of that, on other pages the institute claims to be affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.[3] I can't find the official listing for that either. For now, I left the article as it is, and I think all changes will require a reliable source which is independent of the institue. --Muhandes (talk) 11:34, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the sentence about affiliation from the lead until this is sorted out. --Muhandes (talk) 12:53, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
