Loreen's Olympic Quarter Final Status Has Been Verified[edit]
MelanieN, please note: Loreen Hall is an Olympic Quarter Finalist, as confirmed by the Official Olympic website, so there would be no need for her to make it APPEAR as though she reached the quarter final. It's an indisputable fact.

I am uncomfortable with what I see going on at the article right now. Yes, we agreed to keep the article and to make some changes requested by User:Berture77. But that doesn't mean we agreed to just let her write the article the way she wants! Berture, you need to read about our conflict of interest rules. We generally don't want people to actually edit articles about themselves, because they can't be neutral. When I see an edit like this, which removes the finish position (25) to replace it with QF (to show that she made the quarter finals), I am not sure that is allowed. User:Lugnuts, what would be the usual way of listing the results of this race? We need to do it in whatever is the standard Wikipedia fashion - not in some other way because it makes her look better. Berture, if you are going to continue to edit the article, please allow Lugnuts (or User:L1975p or others who are familiar with our policies on athletes) to have the final word about how things should be done - and if they make a change, accept it. @Berture77: I've added the information on additional tournaments. If there anything else you feel is missing? Typically we ask that the subjects of the article do not edit their own article - this is to ensure that the article has a balanced perspective. Usually the best practice here is to leave the relevant information and sources on the talk page and request a neutral third party to make the edits for you (like I have done here).
In terms of the quality of the article about you, it's worth remembering this is a volunteer project (so things often get missed completely) and we can only include details that are covered by other sources (for athletics, sourcing is difficult to find once you go beyond major international competitions). On a personal note, I wouldn't consider your article here an affront on that point – many athletes have much slighter coverage. Consider Reese Hoffa, an Olympic medalist and world champion with a 20-year career whose article only has a short paragraph! As an example of the extent of coverage of British athletics, I only wrote the first proper article on the AAA Championships just two months ago, so we have much left to do. I don't think there's too much concern of the subject editing her own biography right now. They seem to have made one edit (excluding the blanking) which was easily verified and was written in a neutral way. I've seen much, much worse, esp. when an IP floods the edit hisotry of "their" article with dozens and dozens of edits (I usually revert them all in those cases).
