Mile Marker Zero Inaccessible[edit]

Mile Marker Zero Northbound
Mile Marker Zero Southbound

Due to the Lenihan Dam outlet project, there's a detour in the Los Gatos Trail[1] Rather than crossing the dam face to connect with Alma Bridge Road, the trail goes up the West side of the spillway, under Alma Bridge and across the inside of the dam (the reservoir level is lowered during the project) to connect with Jones Trail.

Mile Marker Zero is on the part of the trail that crosses the dam face so is inaccessible, but it is visible from Alma Bridge Road.

The comment in the article about the first 0.5 miles being downhill is now inaccurate. If you start from the "pedestrian detour" sign & entrance from further Southwest on Alma Bridge Road than the normal entrance, there's a short downhill to the inside base of the dam, then a steep climb to the top.--Morganw (talk) 03:16, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
