Article Needs Work

[edit]

This band is becoming rather famous and their article needs a good deal of work. Zachiroth 00:45, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Speedy Deletion Notice

This page is valid because of the relevance of this particular band in the growing british rock market. Particuarly in breakthrough acts such as Enter Shikari (who have a page) which are attracting much interests in current press and the music market as a whole. As the band are signed to a record label and have singles and an album available in high street record stores, they are therefore a viable inclusion on Wikipedia as an 'entity' of which people will be interested and involved with.

The article claims importance of subject. This could be taken to AFD. I prefer to give the author a chance to expand the article. The band has some notable mentions in several reliable publications. Shoessss 12:51, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oki doki, I won't take it to AfD. I'll just point out Wikipedia:Notability (music) and hope it will be of use to Brookdownton. Marasmusine 13:30, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In Response

I appreciate the guidance - thank you - my first article submission so a little disjointed but I do hope to expand the article after further research, or for others to expand this page. With regards the Wikipedia:Notability (music) the following criteria are certainly met and therefore should allow inclusion on Wikpedia:

International Tour (Germany, UK) Rotation of Major Radio Network (Radio 1, Kerrang! Radio) Representative of Local Scene (Derby rock scene)

Brookdownton

Changed genre

[edit]

I've removed "post-hardcore" from the genres and replaced it with "Alternative". On 15th April, @StevenJBattelle tweeted the following: "Agree! RT @Xotiac Why is lostalone called 'post-hardcore' i don't really think it's post-hardcore to be honest.." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.175.203.70 (talk) 13:29, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why the genres are what they are. However, social networking sites are not acceptable as sources (wither it's the band member or not). Album/band reviews would help. See WP:RS and WP:ALBUM/REVSIT. Regards. HrZ (talk) 12:30, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough, thanks for flagging that up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.175.203.70 (talk) 14:20, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
