SDF Airport data discrepancy[edit]

Good day. There is a discrepancy in how large SDF airport actually is.In the first paragraph and near the bottom of the article, it states SDF Airport is about 1500 acres in size. Go to Reference #1(FAA Airport Master record for SDF) and also Google SDF Airport Skyvector and both say the area of SDF is 1,200 acres. This is the only US airport wiki page with this discrepancy. Their webpage is the source of the stat there now. I did e-mail them 2 years ago and the figure of 1,500 acres is the correct figure.I know it seems inane but can you look into this for me. Thank you and have a great day.2601:581:8500:949C:B123:E549:142:175D (talk) 12:41, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Louisville International AirportLouisville Muhammad Ali International Airport – Airport rename became official 6/6/2019. https://www.whas11.com/video/news/local/seen-on-tv/louisvilles-airport-officially-renamed/417-2a11bd1a-0a11-44d1-879e-da0ac952622b 75.18.105.167 (talk) 19:48, 7 June 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. Steel1943 (talk) 18:16, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Sam Sailor 06:28, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
See WP:COMMONNAME and WP:OFFICIALNAME. Readers are likely to look for and expect the current name, that its official name has changed is not sufficient reason to move it. Wugapodes [thɑk] [ˈkan.ˌʧɹɪbz] 19:57, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Survey[edit]

Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with * '''Support''' or * '''Oppose''', then sign your comment with ~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's policy on article titles.
  • Oppose. The current title Louisville International Airport is by far the most commonly used. Sam Sailor 06:32, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose move absent sources. Does not yet appear to be the common name. O.N.R. (talk) 20:33, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. The title should reflect the official marketed name, which is now Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. Not a drastic enough change to the title to oppose for "common name" issues. Ryan 20:37, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Every other airport page I can find on Wikipedia uses the official name as the title. This airport name is no different than any other airport named after a famous person: John Glen (Columbus, OH), Louis Armstrong (New Orleans, LA), William Hobby (Houston, TX), Ted Stevens (Anchorage, AK), William Hopkins (Cleveland, OH). All of these airports reflect their official name in the title, but I do not think their namesakes are any more common. This page wiki should conform to every other major airport on Wikipedia. • Support. It seems to be convention for Wikipedia to use the official name, cf also Chicago/Rockford Airport. OakGust00 (talk) 21:45, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose seems the official name is little used and even the airports logo uses the common name as well as most of the pages on the official website. No precedent to use the official name on airports that I am aware of as it is better to use the common name in most instances. MilborneOne (talk) 12:27, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The airport has introduced a new logo that uses the new official name.[1]SixFourThree (talk) 14:03, 25 June 2019 (UTC)SixFourThree[reply]
