Etymology[edit]

I removed the bit about Lovelorn being a portmanteau word built from love and forlorn. The OED says its roots are "love + past participle of obsolete lese 'lose'.." Plus, it's a word in its own right; it wasn't made up for the title of this album, as the article seemed to be suggesting. Cardinal Wurzel 16:56, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
