Name

[edit]

Please discussed before move. I don't find any source in Brazil called him Lucas Moura. CBF called him Lucas only [1].

Silva (or Rodrigues Moura da Silva) is his surname and he MAY choose to call himself Lucas Rodrigues or Lucas Moura or Lucas Silva (but Silva is very common surname, people may nor prefer) or just Lucas. Don't imagine a name for him. Matthew_hk tc 03:52, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

so far the media used Lucas Rodrigues or Lucas Moura as his common name. Matthew_hk tc 20:25, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
He is usually known as Lucas Moura to distinguish himself from Lucas Leiva of Liverpool. I don't know of any personal sources but he's usually known by this name in anything I see basically for the above reason. I've noticed his Olympic shirt name is just 'Lucas' where as many other players have an extra name to distinguish themselves from others, but there are no other Lucas' in the squad, so for now I guess we won't know until he's in the same Brazil squad as Lucas Leiva. Usually when I see Brazilian names on wikipedia they are listed with the nickname of the player or smaller name in the squad info box but then once you go to his page the page name is bigger. Example could be Roberto Mendes Silva who is listed at "Beto" on squad boxes. --Arsenalkid700 (talk) 10:43, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've seen him 99% as 'Lucas Moura' and as there is no disambiguation issues with that name, I'd move him there. GiantSnowman 13:30, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Per naming policies, we have the choice between Lucas (footballer born 1992) and Lucas Moura, so I'd support a move to the latter. I even tried to move the article, but that was not possible, so we need some admin-help. Mentoz86 (talk) 20:18, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lucas Rodrigues Moura da SilvaLucas Moura – Per the discussion above, we have the choice between Lucas (footballer born 1992) or Lucas Moura per WP:COMMONNAME. I'd go for the latter. Mentoz86 (talk) 14:06, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Revert to previous version.

Reason: Unconfirmed change of club. Strivici (talk) 15:23, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Question: Can you be more specific? I removed the uncited section about his transfer to Tottenham; is there anything else? —KuyaBriBriTalk 15:38, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Nihlus 20:08, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

National caps

[edit]

I was looking at Soccerway.com and from what I work out he has 34 caps for Brazil, on the article here he has 36. Does anyone else have a good source or two to double check against? Govvy (talk) 16:37, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
