I have added a mathematician, Lucy R. Wyatt, to the categories "women mathematician" and "21st century mathematician" and in each category she has been added under L for Lucy instead of W for Wyatt.

Fixed Wikipedia was sorting by first name not surname. So that it sorts properly, at the end of a BLP you need to add a box like the one below:
