Biography is messed up. Copied from his homepage, needs to be trimmed, edited and sourced. Arthur5005 05:53, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Biography is always supervised by the illustrator himself, although sometimes can be a bit difficult because he is spanish and allt his info is in english. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tearpop (talkcontribs) 08:41, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Opion vs. Information

[edit]

One of many examples...

"PROHIBITED BOOK III was the last in the Prohibited Book series. In this volume, the reader becomes trapped in images of beauty, tenderness and desire"

Some might agree with this critique, but that's all it is, a critique, one person's opinion of the artistic merits of the subject matter. These statements, while well written, can be reduced to "I think this art is objectively good", hardly encyclopedic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.40.179.98 (talk) 08:16, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The problem might be that this illustrator is spanish an he also has a wikipedia biography but in spanish so the translations can be quite difficult at times because of the expressions, the context... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tearpop (talkcontribs) 08:43, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been copied from angeltear.an.funpic.de/include.php?path=forum/searchresult.php&rshow=&rorder=&entries=0&PHPKITSID=ee204dc90ce10148c55964872b3048c8 (I can't post a link thanks to spam filter) which seems to be a translation of a text from www.luisroyo.com

As mentioned before the text is normally checked by the author himself and he supervises very carefully what gets uploaded on his biography and he admits that sometimes the translation from spanish to english can be a bit difficult. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tearpop (talkcontribs) 08:48, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tone

[edit]

The article is written in passive voice, which needs to be fixed. It also has significant grammatical errors. It reads as a bad translation and not as a well written encyclopedic entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.43.251.42 (talk) 16:25, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation -- two different artists

[edit]

This article mixes the biographies of two completely different artists. Luis Royo is an erotic sci-fi artist born in 1954 in Olalla, Spain. Jose Royo is an impressionist artist born in 1945 in Valencia, Spain. The two have been significantly intermingled across the web, partially as a result of sources citing this wikipedia article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.43.251.42 (talk) 19:41, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

A major contributor to this article appears to have a close personal or professional connection to the topic, and thus to have a conflict of interest. Conflict-of-interest editors are strongly discouraged from editing the article directly, but are always welcome to propose changes on the talk page (i.e., here). You can attract the attention of other editors by putting {{request edit}} (exactly so, with the curly parentheses) at the beginning of your request, or by clicking the link on the lowest yellow notice above. Requests that are not supported by independent reliable sources are unlikely to be accepted.

Please also note that our Terms of Use state that "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." An editor who contributes as part of his or her paid employment is required to disclose that fact. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 22:02, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request

[edit]

This section is being added as a request for wikipedia community to restore / complete the major content of Luis Royo's biography based on the OTRS ticket number is 2016011810011119 added on april 1st of 2016 by Rrburke to quote from http://www.luisroyo.com/en/biografia/ and http://www.luisroyo.com/es/biografia/, according to the terms of the GFDL and CC-BY-SA-3.0.

As this is the first time we make a request for eddit, and according to the template information found, we would like to ask for the restoration / editing from earlier versions of the page of the sections Education and early years, International Career and Bibliography

LaberintoGris (talk) 09:12, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm gonna go ahead and close this as declined as it's not entirely clear what it is that you want done, or what version you would like restored.
  • The article doesn't seem to have been edited on April 1 2016
  • The article doesn't seem to have been edited recently by anyone named Rbburke
  • Frankly I have no idea what an OTRS ticket number is or why this information is relevant
Feel free to reopen this request with a specific earlier version you would like restored and rationale for its restoration, or with specific changes you would like made and supporting sources. TimothyJosephWood 13:11, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Awards section

[edit]

Kishfan has reverted my edits to the Awards section. Can Kishfan or another editor explain why they feel the edits are vandalism? The edits were made to improve the wording and to more accurately describe the content of the section. Deagol2 (talk) 23:45, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If Deagol2 thinks it is a mistake then they must feel free to revert my edits. They are continuously doing bad mouth about my edits and I really do not have time for this.-Kishfan (talk) 16:02, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will revert to my version. Apologies if there has been confusion. Deagol2 (talk) 17:40, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
