12 Balls: Fake? Real? Both?[edit]

It's my understanding that Luke released a video on the 1st of April that appeared to show him managing 12 catches of 12 balls. This was a rather crude fake, but managed to convince a fair chunk of jugglers that he'd done it. In the spirit of April Fool's day, he owned up to the deception fairly shortly.

But now, on his website, there are fresh claims of being a 12-ball juggler. Are we to understand that he has managed to actually juggle 12? If so, can anybody find a real video confirming this feat, rather than the April Fool's one? --Spudtater (talkcontribs) 14:08, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen him during trainings in Berlin last year. He is a *very* good juggler, and can perform a lot of different tricks with different props. But I highly doubt that he ever managed to juggle 12 balls, even for a flash. I've never seen him juggling more than 7 balls, but I know for sure that he can flash 9. Any other claim should be backed up by videos. Eric DUMINIL (talk) 00:09, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Luke Burrage here. I have flashed 12 balls. If you saw me perform live throughout 2004 to 2006 you may have seen me flash 10 balls on stage a number of times, usually on the first or second attempt. there is a video of myself flashing 11 balls, and also passing 18 balls with Ben Beever. The only video of myself flashing 12 balls is a self admitted fake. The same year (2003) I flashed 12 balls at the Flying Teapots Juggling Club in Sheffield and was witnessed by Dave Proctor and other jugglers. This is explained at the Internet Juggling Database Records pages (jugglingdb.com). A note on the luke burrage wikipedia page explaining this would do. I'd update it myself, but that seems a bit off. Meanwhile I'll revert the removal of the info. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.23.2.114 (talk) 16:21, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is this notable? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.232.144.109 (talk) 00:05, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

this whole article needs to be flagged for deletion - why is it bigger than articles for truly great jugglers. This guy is basically a nonentiy, please get rid of him.

If you believe that notability is an issue you can create an account and nominate the article for deletion. Before doing so you should review Wikipedia's criteria for notability in order to ensure the nomination is policy/guideline based. --Jezebel'sPonyoshhh 19:41, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
