Children?

[edit]

Doesn't Luna have 2 children with Gangrel? Why are they not on here? Just wondering. User:MgHoneyBee Mar.25,2006

I've never heard that. If you can find a source, put it on sure. User:Dangelo82 Mar.25, 2006

There was a RAW magazine that featured WWE couples that said she had two children but I don't know which magazine it was. It was the one with Triple H and Chyna and Jerry Lawler and Stacy Carter talking about their relationships openly for the first time. User:MgHoneyBee Mar 29,2006.

[edit]

This entry is copied word for word from her official web page.JEdward 01:42, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is not her official web page. And yes, someone copied from there (or to there), thereby hurting the quality of what was previously a good article, though room for improvement. I will look into changing this. Str1977 (smile back) 18:56, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, some things indicate that the website in question copied the bio from this article. I can remember adding the thing about her marriage on Halloween 1994, which also features on the website bio. Str1977 (smile back) 12:24, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It says she was fired for her squabble with Sable which is correct but she was fired again for the incident involving the producer when Sable was long gone from wwe. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.248.96.2 (talk) 04:31, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Married?

[edit]

Is she still married to David Heath? Just wondering because this article states in Personal Life 'previously married', however on David Heaths page it says 'married'. There can only be one right answer!

Indeed. And once in a while (e.g. today) someone pops up and claims that the two are divorced. This might well be true but thus far I have not seen any reliable source for this. Until such a source appears, we shouldn't claim that the two are divorced. Str1977 (talk) 12:05, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
By now, reliable sources have been produced. For details see David's article. Str1977 (talk) 01:55, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Detective story

[edit]

I think I should explain why I moved the detective story from 1997 to 1992: Sure, various websites (including OWOW) place it 1997, just before Luna's return to the WWF. However, the shoot interview places it 1992 and links it with Luna's first hiring as well as with her and Dave's stint in Puerto Rico. AFAIK, they've been in Puerto Rico in 1992 and in 1995 but not in 1997. Also, in 1997, Luna first competed in WCW (March-May) and appeared in the WWF in December, leaving no period for the obscurity related in the account. Playboy and Hustler

[edit]

when was Luna ever in Playboy and Hustler? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.192.59.4 (talk) 21:55, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure but that's what she said in an interview with SLAM! wrestling. --Krazyj2010 (talk) 14:07, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Krazyj2010[reply]

Raven?

[edit]

I've saw on multiple that Luna was at one time [I'm guessing 80's] in a relationship with Raven and I know at one time she lived with him [1],and hung around him quite a bit.Its states here:[2] that Luna Vachon and Raven picked Brian Christopher up from the airport to take him to his tryout match against Jimmy Snucka. So is there a reliable enough source to be able to state that she was one time in a relationship with Scott Levey?Or was she never in a relationship with him? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Krazyj2010 (talkcontribs) 04:35, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Granddaughter

[edit]

In her DOI shoot interview from May 5th,2007,it is said by Luna herself that her very first granddaughter was born the day before the shoot, and in the DVD description from the official DOI website they say that she became a grandmother the day before the shoot. --Krazyj2010 (talk) 20:50, 7 March 2009 (UTC)krazyj2010 ♥[reply]

Marriages

[edit]

Ok, so, I have read this book by Howard Brody, and in it he mentions Luna many times. Evidently, according to him, she had two children by "another man before Dick Slater." We all know from a Van Hurd interview that "the other man" is Daniel Hurd. So, after Dan Hurd, THEN she became involved with Dick Slater, later marrying Tom Nash (who evidently according to the book is a completely different person than Dan Hurd.) Sorry for the confusion and I was just wondering if the information from the book (which is positively legit) is enough for a wikipedia source? here's the link. just click on look inside and search "luna", "Luna Vachon", or "Tom Nash" it seems like a very interesting book, I've only read the parts about Luna in it and I learned a lot about her. Hope I get a reply soon--Krazyj2010 (talk) 20:30, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, amazon is block, but the book is called "Swimming with Piranhas: Surviving the Politics of Professional Wrestling" --Krazyj2010 (talk) 20:32, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dead at 48

[edit]

Was about to undo the edits reporting her death, but Googled it first out of idle curiosity. And to my surprise, it confirmed it - Luna Vachon is dead: http://forceofwrestling.com/former-wwf-womens-wrestler-luna-vachon-passes-away-aged-48/ ; http://www.wrestling-radio.com/feed_news-16559-BREAKING_NEWS%3A_Former_WWE_Diva_Luna_Vachon_Dead_Ag.php --Danish Ranger 18:22, 27 August 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Danish Ranger (talkcontribs)

Mentor to Nattie Neidhart

[edit]

The article states

Luna herself was a mentor for fellow Canadian wrestler Nattie Neidhart. < r e f name=lunacy/>

However, the linked article (from 2008) states

Luna continues to have great affection for her fellow Canadians in the sport of wrestling and is
currently monitoring the career of Natalya "Nattie" Neidhart, the Anvil's daughter.
"I am so proud of her because it couldn't have been easy being a Hart and then being a
Neidhart," she joked. "That's double trouble."

which is not quite the same IMHO.

It might very well be that she mentored Nattie at one point - especially since Luna was friends with The Anvil - and because of that takes a special interest in her but we can't tell from that remark. It might very well be that she is just interested in a promising young wrestler from Canada, the daughter of a friend.

Any thoughts? Str1977 (talk) 08:34, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Since nobody cares to respond, it would be right and proper to entirely remove the sentence. However, I will move it to another place, albeit in a form corresponding to what the article says. Whether this is notable is another matter. Str1977 (talk) 10:11, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

TMZ

[edit]

Is TMZ.com, a website apparently illegally leaking police reports, a reliable source?

In any case, phrases like "TMZ reports that" have no place in articles, as what TMZ does or doesn't do is "off topic". It might be a source for information but it is not itself topical to the article.

And certainly, any one adding something should provide the reference. Next time anyone adds something like the TMZ-adding IP, I will not take the trouble of finding it myself but will simply remove it. Str1977 (talk) 08:15, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Biological Father?

[edit]

Don't you think in the parents section we should at least reference her biological father? All of that information is in her Obituary that's linked in External Links. His name's Charles Henry Wilkerson if I do recall. Correct me if I'm wrong? But, yay or nay? Should we make reference to that situation? --Krazyj2010 (talk) 21:58, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
