Franco-Prussian War

[edit]

Was this a prelude to Bismark's actions in provoking the Franco-Prussian War? And why did Bismark not push to go to war as he was going to purposefully go to war with France in 1870? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.106.112.197 (talkcontribs) 02:47, 5 May 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Proposed governance of Luxembourg

[edit]

If the deal had gone through, would Luxembourg have been simply annexed to France, or would it have remained separate with Napoleon as Grand Duke, similar to its relationship to the Netherlands at the time? Would the payment have gone to the Dutch government or to William III directy? --Jfruh (talk) 15:05, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
