From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi Roman, Rdpk7 (the editor of Wikipedia).

I am Alexander Shopov and I am trying to add support for MIK in GNU libc[1]

I have already made such a support for the free software program Yudit[2]

For this I have used Roman Czyborra's cyrillic soup[3]

However it is different than that shown in Wikipedia for the article MIK_Code_page[4]

I am listing the differences:

+--+------------------------------+---------------------------------+
|№ | Czyborra | Wikipedia |
+--+------------------------------+---------------------------------+
|E1|β 03B2 GREEK SMALL LETTER BETA|ß 00DF LATIN SMALL LETTER SHARP S|
|E6|μ 03BC GREEK SMALL LETTER MU |µ 00B5 MICRO SIGN |
|ED|∅ 2205 EMPTY SET |φ 03C6 SMALL LETTER PHI |
|EE|∈ 2208 ELEMENT OF |ε 03B5 GREEK SMALL LETTER EPSILON|
+--+------------------------------+---------------------------------+

Is it possible to show where your version comes from and which sources you have used?

Have characters been mapped simply on the basis of visual likeness?

This has been published in the discussion of the MIK article in Wikipedia [5] as well.
