the photos of Senior House is inappropriate for Sloan -- I'm moving it to Senior House where it belongs Theinfo 17:04, 12 October 2005 (UTC) The suggestion has been made to merge the Center for eBusiness into the page for the Sloan School of Management. Many MIT research center's and labs have their own entries. I'm unsure of the criteria for merging vs. have a stand alone page. If the stub is the issue, I'm happy to expand it during the course of the next few months.

"Institute Professor" nominated for deletion

The article titled Institute Professor has been nominated for deletion by user:Kane5187, who says not all of the 10-or-12-or-so Institute Professors are notable. This while many MIT professors who are not Institute Professors have Wikipedia articles and are universally considered notable (and so do most of the Institute Professors). Please opine at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Institute Professor. Your input is needed! Michael Hardy 00:56, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

This article does not ameet notability requirements for inclusion, continues to be orphaned, and reads like an advertisement. Because of a wide consensus on articles about university departments and degree programs, unless a program is of particular note, it does not warrant its own article. This article makes no assertion of its importance among engineering management programs, research, or people and ultimately reads like an admissions pamphlet. Cut out the booster cruft and merge it with MIT Sloan School of Management. Madcoverboy 01:08, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Um, you're proposing a merge with MIT Sloan School of Management but this is MIT Sloan School of Management. Did you intend this comment to go to Talk:MIT-Leaders_for_Manufacturing? Ronnotel 04:24, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
I understand your thoughts about moving this into the MIT Sloan School of Management, however these two programs are very different. The program is in process to update the site and address the key items you are mentioning above. This program is of particular note because of its merging of both academics, research and industry partnership. The end goal of this site is to share the knowledge gained in this program.MIT-Leaders_for_Manufacturing 10:34, 7 December 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 18.172.6.89 (talk)
I think the LFM article could be effectively deleted as it's not even a department, just a degree program, and the notable content is already present on the Sloan page. Let me know your thoughts. Madcoverboy (talk) 23:47, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Endicott1.jpg

Image:Endicott1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Incomprehensible Sentence

"U.S. News & World Report and BusinessWeek award it #1 in the most disciplines of any business school in the United States." What does this sentence mean? If no one knows, may I delete it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.19.158.250 (talk) 18:31, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Older items

Should Walker really be pictured? Wouldn't E-52 be more appropriate, if uglier?

Article updated to reflect that Fiorina is no longer the most powerful woman in business. This is a title now owned by eBay Inc. Meg Whitman.

As it stands, the first paragraph sounds too much like braging, and not enough like an encyclopedia article. How about just stating facts? Like: sloan is a business school associated with MIT, several faculty members have won nobel prizes, these notable people went there...etc.
