Recent Change in Format

[edit]

OK, so I know this is a sudden and large change, and I also know that someone tried this before and it was reverted. I do, however, think that this is for the best of the article. Other award articles are also going this way, especially the "Big 4" Grammy Award articles (see Grammy Award for Song of the Year, Grammy Award for Album of the Year), Grammy Award for Record of the Year, and Grammy Award for Best New Artist), and it does make sense: The page is for the award, hence the title, and not a list of winners. Thus, we should include as much information as possible about the award, including each year's nominees. Plus, the attention remains on the winners, as they are the only ones on regular-sized font, whereas the nominees are in small text. These pages, in my opinion, should be for people looking for award-specific information; if someone wants year-specific information, that is why we have the yearly award pages (which should be linked in all pages). Also, with all this information now available, other editors can also begin writing real introductory paragraphs for these pages, referring to trends and big winners. If any editor finds this change inappropriate, feel free to revert it, but I think we should try to give it a shot (at least in the general awards, as we still don't have full info on the professional and international ones). --Andresg770 (talk) 18:49, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Criteria for shortlist

[edit]

How do they narrow it down to 5? Is it judges or public vote? Do all the songs have to be a billboard number 1 or do they just have to be in the top 10? Mobile mundo (talk) 13:00, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
