Does Not Site Anything Whatsoever[edit]

This article does not site one single bit of information which is a very big problem...Much of this article sounds like it's had made-up information added to it. For instance, I find it Bold textextremely shady that according to this wiki page that Maccabi Tel Aviv was found in 1906; it was literally impossible for the club to be founded at this time, for many reasons, some which are:

1. 1906 is nearly 50 years ago since the State of Israel was officially established.
2. I highly doubt that a couple of Israeli school boys (at the time Israelis were a very big minority) would be able to make a organized club and be able to play matches internationally against the French and Americans...

This article is the epitome of ridiculousness and needs to be drastically changed before I inform someone on Wikipedia with power.--Salalah4life (talk) 14:51, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Your comment is ridiculous. How can you say that Maccabi's history is not real? This guys were called by Meir Dizingoff, one of the most important leaders of the Zionists in the past, in order to found the first Jewish-Israeli sports club in Pelestina (Israel today).

The Israeli football league was established in 1928. Before the state of israel was officially established. Before the foundation of the league, Maccabi played against sailors and against British and Turkish teams. --Tal939 (talk) 15:16, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are Correct. I'm going to edit the entire history of Maccabi Tel-Aviv now, and there are even mistakes about the years that Maccabi won titles. The Source of this Edit is a Book in Hebrew that goes by the name: Maccabi Tel-Aviv first 102 years" by Asher Goldberg and Dani Dvorin. It's an Offical Maccabi Book. (Omer_B87)

Fair use rationale for Image:FC Maccabi Tel-Aviv logo.gif[edit]

Image:FC Maccabi Tel-Aviv logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Cup "founded" or "found"?[edit]

Quote: "Forty-five years later the cup was founded in Petah Tikva." Is this correct? Or should it be "found"? -- 77.7.148.217 (talk) 15:57, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Found. Founded means established (הוקם). Number 57 16:59, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Israeli Cup was stolen and was found years later... (Omer_B87)

There are a lot of mistakes[edit]

most of the content that are written pre indipendece of Israel is not correct.

Maccabi won 19 championships and not 18. the years pre indipendence, some of them are mistaken.

The IFA isn't updated.

The History of Maccabi Tel-Aviv is well written in the team's site, and that history was written by me from the Maccabi Tel-Aviv Offical Book here! it must be repaired! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Omer B87 (talkcontribs) 19:32, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The RSSSF says Maccabi have 18, as does the well-referenced List of Israeli football champions. Where do you get the extra one from? Number 57 19:41, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The information on the team's site is mistaken beacuse it is copied from wiki! Where i'm getting the information of? from the Officail book that i'm holding in my hands right now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Omer B87 (talkcontribs) 10:22, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Israeli Football Association website, Maccabi has won 20 championship titles. Mod (talk) 15:15, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Uniforms[edit]

The uniforms in the article are last years'. You can take the right uniforms from the Hebrew wikipedia. I don't know how it's done. 77.125.167.195 (talk) 20:11, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tried to copy the script of the uniforms, it turns out bad to only yellow and blue clean uniforms. any idea? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ronkinderz (talkcontribs) 07:09, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

1. Can anyone help on putting links inside the texts?

2. I want to add a sports kit manufacturer and sponsorship tables, does anyone have the stats from former years?

Wikipedia is not a vehicle for corporate advertising[edit]

Please see Wikipedia:NOTADVERTISING. Using Wikipedia for commercial marketing is a violation of Wikipedia policy. I have removed content that was corporate advertising or promotion, and user Ronkinderz reverted the removal, restoring the corporate commercial marketing, without providing any explanation in his edit summary, and without discussing on this talk page. Ijon Tichy (talk) 16:06, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ronkinderz has reverted again, re-adding the commercial/ promotional content. Ronkinderz is now edit warring, which is a violation of Wikipedia policy. An edit summary is not a substitute for discussion. Editors must debate and discuss on the article talk page, achieve Consensus, and only after consensus has been established, the content can be re-added to the article. The fact that other WP articles violate the policy is not a valid reason to add the content, nor is it a substitute for debate and discussion and consensus-building on the article talk page. Please see Wikipedia: Other stuff exists. Thanks. Ijon Tichy (talk) 18:32, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ijon Tichy I don't see that there is any commercial marketing or similar purpose in the section that you keep on deleting without gaining consensus yourself.

This section is practically mentioning the club's kit manufacturers and shirt sponsors as an INFORMATIVE information. You can't remove a section only because it mentions commercial companies. these companies have a segment in Wikipedia for a reason. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ronkinderz (talkcontribs) 11:49, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for discussing on the talk page. And thank you for all of your good work on the article. This is an informative, interesting, and fun-to-read article, largely due to your efforts (as well as the work of others). Keep up the good work. Best, Ijon Tichy (talk) 19:56, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
