Change Names To Original Macedonian Spellings

[edit]

Why are the names of the Macedonian dynasty in greek styled, i canot understand why someone is trying to change history, please put them back to their original Macedonian style (or macedonian Slav as only Wikipedia says >:< )next to the english thak you --08:52, 18 November 2005 Intranetman

Dude, they were not ethnic Slavs, and they ruled over an empire whose official language was Greek. "Macedonian" refers to the Byzantine province or "thema" of Macedonia, which was actually located where European Turkey is today (and so has no connection to the modern Republic of Macedonia in Skopje). Re this, it is unsourced. As mentioned above, Macedonian here refers to this, and has nothing to do with this. I have reverted accordingly. ·ΚέκρωΨ· (talk) 06:44, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nationalist sources

[edit]

The banned editor Deji Olajide1999 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) included in the article a publication by a fringe author from Greece who seems to have had well documented links to fascism and extreme nationalism and apparently claimed that he had even found the tomb of Alexander of Macedonia. This is not a reliable source and it has been removed.--Maleschreiber (talk) 23:51, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
