Alternative explanation for Kovalan separating from Madhavi[edit]

During the Indra festival, Kovalan feels enamoured by the junction where Kaveri river meets the ocean and he praises the river's chastity to the local ruler since it doesn't go beyond the kingdom. Madhavi starts downplaying Kaveri because, as a Courtesan, she cannout be chaste wife too. Kovalan wonders why she is competing with Kýaveri and in that moment, he realizes the chastity of his wife Kannagi. Madhavi truly loved Kovalan and any fault she may have had were the faults of her profession. Kovalan was the biggger culprit but he also gets his karma extinquished by his repentance and the final tragedy 122.174.232.147 (talk) 20:23, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
