A fact from Maewa Kaihau appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 30 August 2022 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that New Zealand composer Maewa Kaihau sold her rights to the song "Now is the Hour" for £10, a decade before it became a hit in the United Kingdom and United States?
The following is an archived discussion of the DYK nomination of the article below. Please do not modify this page. Comment: Not sure if the image works at 100px due to the damage to the original, but included as an option. Grateful for any suggestions for improvement, to the hook or article. Thanks!

Comment (no review): any aspect of a subject that appears on DYK must also be included in the article about that subject. In this case, the hook fact must be added to the article (or a different hook proposed), and the image either added to the article or removed from this nomination. In my opinion, the image is fine as is for DYK. Mindmatrix 14:55, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Mindmatrix: thanks for taking a look! Just to clarify, do you mean that the hook & image need to be added to "Now Is the Hour (song)" as well? They're already in Maewa Kaihau which is the article that I'm looking to nominate (at least, the image definitely is and I think the hook is). Cheers, Chocmilk03 (talk) 19:08, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Chocmilk03: Nah, I goofed. I completely missed the link to the subject and only saw the one for "Now Is the Hour (song)", which I interpreted to be the subject. So, uh, just ignore me. Mindmatrix 19:16, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Mindmatrix: ahaha, phew. I initially thought that was the case then started overthinking it wondering if there was an obscure DYK rule I had missed somewhere. :D Chocmilk03 (talk) 19:48, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
New enough; long enough; great sourcing; no copyvio obvious; wonderful hook on good sources; image is fine; QPQ done. Good to go. Great work! Zingaresetalk · contribs (please use {{reply to|Zingarese}} on reply; thanks!) 01:07, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
