[edit]

Dbzejo (talk) 13:55, 9 August 2015 (UTC) As a mafia fan i am glad that the series page was created. Nice job, it looks nice! Dbzejo (talk) 17:36, 9 August 2015 (UTC) The Betrayal of Jimmy WAS ps3 exclusive but has since been released on xbox360 and PC.[reply]

Thank you for that Dbxejo I'll update it. CDRL102 (talk) 18:24, 9 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reassessment

[edit]

Came here via the reassessment request in the VG template; keeping this as Start-class. Some ideas for improvement follow:

  • The main reason I left this as Start-class is lack of content- there's just not much text here about the series.
  • There are numerous 1/2-sentence paragraphs throughout the article; you want to avoid these as much as possible.
  • Between the table, the timeline, and the text, the "Titles" section says the same thing three times.
  • J2ME is a software platform; it tells me nothing about what phones you could play Mafia II on
  • "Setting" has almost no information, as does "Reception"
  • There's really not much to say; the biggest thing the article needs is more content. Try looking at the articles in the Series section of Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Good content for inspiration as to what to put in the article. --PresN 19:18, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Release timeline

[edit]

@CDRL102:, could you elaborate on why you thought it was necessary to revert my edits? The table on top of Mafia_(series)#Games already shows when the three games were released. You reverted, ust "To have it in line with other series pages"? The video game timeline template is used on less than thirty times, by my count. It offers no additional information, as, again, it is already easy to see when the three games were released. --Soetermans. T / C 01:31, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My idea was to have it to the similar Grand Theft Auto page. CDRL102 (talk) 16:39, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sequel sections

[edit]

@CDRL102:, please follow WP:BRD and don't revert a revert. Because other articles look a certain way is not a reason to remove sequel sections. You're also incorrect, there's Call of Duty (video game)#Sequels. Where in WP:VG/MOS does it say if there's a series article the individual games shouldn't have a sequel section? If anything, Grand Theft Auto (video game) should have a section like that. --Soetermans. T / C 23:12, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@CDRL102:, did you get my notification? @DangerousJXD: has undone your revert on Mafia II. I'll await your response to do so on Mafia. --Soetermans. T / C 08:00, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'll raise this at the main video games talk page soon. To ask if overall we should remove sequels from video games series as there are many sequels. CDRL102 (talk) 20:59, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, go ahead. I'm not saying every single sequel should be mentioned, but you removed Mafia's sequels section, while Mafia II has one sequel in the works. Would you consider Mafia having "many sequels"? --Soetermans. T / C 09:12, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Can I add the Mafia Trilogy?
