A fact from Man's Fate (film) appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 29 October 2008, and was viewed approximately 796 times (disclaimer) (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that production on the 1969 Fred Zinnemann film Man's Fate was canceled one week before shooting was to begin?
Please note: the subject of this article was cancelled while the film was in production. All press coverage from 1969 (including page one articles in Hollywood Reporter and Variety) specifically stated the film was in production. This film was not cancelled while it was in pre-production. This is one of the most famous examples of unfinished films, which is why it has been added as a standalone article. Thanks.
