I changed "short story" for "novel" in this sentence:

Last shot[edit]

In addition to describing the last shot (a closeup of a photograph of the doctor and his family) in the plot synopsis, is there any speculation about what it means? When I saw it in college we all thought it meant that Rantés was hinting that the doctor himself was one of those "lost" aliens he was talking about. Unusual[edit]

Some of the Movie's Plot description are a bit off. I just watched it on Blu-Ray last night. If it's okay with everyone, I'll start making a few changes.

Omitted details[edit]

The plot description includes unnecessary details while omitting some intriguing ones: 1) After being medicated, Rantés faces a direction slightly different than southeast and appears frustrated, as if communication with his home planet has been interrupted. 2) Beatriz performs an odd ritual of changing her shoes before and after visiting Rantés. 3) Rantés confirms to Dr. Denis that Beatriz is indeed an alien and claims that she emits a blue liquid from her mouth when she feels strong emotions. This later occurs when Dr. Denis and Beatriz have sex. 4) After Rantés' death, Dr. Denis finds a photograph showing a younger Rantés and Beatriz, indicating that they were siblings.
