Takes more than 2 hours from Kathmandu

[edit]

In my personal experience (having driven to the temple more than 3 times in the past 5 or so years), it takes more than 2 hours to go there. I'm not sure about the distance estimate of 95 kilometers, but it definitely takes about 4-5 hours. I (like most people) would start driving at 6 or 7 am, and arrived there at 11 or 12 pm. The drive back would take a similar amount of time (3 pm to about 8 pm).

Re: Takes more than 2 hours

[edit]

I agree with you that it takes more than 2 hours but 5 hours is a lot too. I think, with better roads lately, the ride is less than 3 hours.

Have information but no reference

[edit]

There is a lot of information I know about Manakamana, the place and the cable car. However, due to lack of references, I am not able to add them to the article. It would be encouraging if someone could find some good reference.
