No merger for now[edit]

I have commented over at the Human rights in Bahrain that we shouldn't merge this piece. The incident in question happened just a few days ago. Timothymarskell (talk) 08:02, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In which case, I think this article should be deleted. WP:NOTNEWS.--Scott Mac 08:33, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge not sufficient strength for an independent article. Merging preserves info that would be lost if deleted. Dlohcierekim 10:24, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Dloh -- I agree about preserving info. There have been riots through out Bahrain for much of the summer as well as related violence over the last year. This can certainly be merged to a parent article covering all of these issues; we can catch our breath and work on that. If you go through the New York Times link I'm sure you'll find plenty of info to start an article.
Human rights in Bahrain shouldn't handle something so specific, however. Timothymarskell (talk) 11:25, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I believe this has been sufficiently filled-out to pass the "not news" threshold. Timothymarskell (talk) 12:56, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No Merger - I suggest this article should not be merged with Human rights in Bahrain rather a separate sub section to be created in the article with heading as Manama Incident redirecting it to the main article. - Humaliwalay (talk) 09:26, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A 'main article' hat or blue link is prob sufficient, this article is substantial enough to stand on its own. I would be keen to see a rename though. Ceoil (talk) 13:28, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Ceoil. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 13:35, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
