Extremely POV, poorly written by non-native speakers of English that have obviously not read the manga[edit]

The whole kenkanryu article is original research written as some sort of criticism right from the first paragraph. As I ask above, is it too much to ask that only people that only people that have actually read the manga should be contributing to this article, at least as it relates to the actual content of the manga? And how about restricting edits by non-native speakers of English? This article has been progressively getting worse as time goes on.--Shakuhachi (talk) 23:13, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • It is because Wikipedia works like this: We take our analysis from published third party sources, so editors are not required to have PHds, nor do they have to be primary speakers. They merely have to follow NPOV conventions. Now, I agree that this article is a mess, because there is a lack of in text citations. WhisperToMe (talk) 16:25, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • The article seems fairly NPOV to me, though it needs serious beefing up in the references area as this is such a controversial topic. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 21:13, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article cleanup[edit]

I have read this comic book several times. I oppose its viewpoint, but would like to express critical opinions toward the book in a subject, non-emotional way basing on verifiable facts and reliable sources. I have already made some additions and edits to the article on which I don't think anyone can raise any issue. But I would like to work on a bolder clean-up of the article from now on. If anyone has any issues, please feel free to revert my edits (with clear reasons) and/or discuss them in this talk page. Hkwon (talk) 19:46, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Copy of the external links[edit]

I've removed a bunch of the external links to remain only with the official ones. Many of these links were to sources to new sites which could be linked into the article with proper references, but the blogs and some of the others violate ELNO.

Please check these over before reinserting them. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 23:39, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 13:07, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
