WP:FOOD Tagging

[edit]

This article talk page was automatically added with {{WikiProject Food and drink}} banner as it falls under Category:Restaurants or one of its subcategories. I'm pretty sure that addition was unnecessary. Although there are drinks at mangakisas, they are not the point of going there. I would change this myself, but I don't know how to do these kind of things... I was also trying to make a redirect page for 'mangakisa' to this page, since whoever started it spelled it wrong, but... I also don't know how to create a page for that purpose.

Merge from Manhwabang (and globalize)

[edit]

Manga cafes exist all around the world. They likely started in Japan, but I don't think there is anything that makes the Korean ones (Manhwabang) separately notable. Thoughts? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:43, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I think, it is different like PC bang and Internet café. Thanks. --Garam (talk) 17:17, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with merge. Korean articles on Manhwabang and Manhwa cafe describe different business models. Manhwa cafe is where you can read manwha on-site. Manhwabang is where you can rent manhwa. SkylightXO (talk) 02:21, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I propose that section South Korea be split into a separate page called Manhwabang. At the time of the merge, information on Manhwabang was limited, and it did not give enough description of manhwabang for editors to understand what it is. Korean articles on manhwabang and manhwa cafe describe two different business models, and they should be treated as separate entities. Please check https://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/%EB%A7%8C%ED%99%94_%EC%B9%B4%ED%8E%98 and https://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/%EB%A7%8C%ED%99%94%EB%B0%A9 for reference. SkylightXO (talk) 02:37, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, what I propose is cancelling the merge of Manhwabang. South Korea section here accurately describes manhwa cafes. But it does not describe manhwabang. SkylightXO (talk) 02:41, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
