Tourist attractions

[edit]

Shouldn't the Ohio State Reformatory be also included in this section? It DOES draw a lot of visitors to the prison tours, and the annual haunted house display that is hosted there. Also a lot of conventions like the Ohio Medieval convention are held there.

Churches

[edit]

Churches have been very important in the history and growth of Mansfield, and we ought to have a section about them. It would be great if someone could get such a section started. CoppBob (talk) 17:38, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I will have to see because I haven't noticed any other city articles with such a section on churches yet.---OHWiki 20:42, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I been doing alot of improvements on the Mansfield, Ohio article since January 2007 and my goal is to at least get it up to good article standards, hopefully with some help from other Wikipedia users.--OHWiki 01:17, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking of starting a WikiProject for Mansfield, Ohio, but I'm afraid that there won't be enough Wikipedia users that will join me for the project. There are alot of red links that need to become blue links, articles related to Mansfield that you see in the main article. See WP:RA for more information.---OHWiki 01:44, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OHWiki, I was a boyhood resident of Mansfield in the Twenties and Thirties and have kept a continuing interest in it until now, in my 87th year. I just want to thank you for all of your contributions to the Mansfield article; they are really helpful! As to a Mansfield WikiProject, I rather agree with your comment above that you would be one of the very few persons (if not the only one) working on it. And you are doing a great job just as things now stand! CoppBob 13:35, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures

[edit]

I'm going to take some pictures in and around Mansfield sometime this summer when the sun is out and the rain is not around.--OHWiki 01:17, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since 16 September 2007, I added five new images that I self-made from my digital camera.---OHWiki 22:23, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jones Potato Chip Company

[edit]

I think that it would be best that we just do away with creating a article on the Jones Potato Chips topic since it is already listed in the article under "Industry and business" section. It would be a wast of a page since there is little information on the topic so far.---OHWiki 00:30, 1 May 2008 {UTC)

Did a redirect, done deal.---OHWiki 20:18, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Parks and Outdoor attractions

[edit]

I changed the sentence on golf courses, it stated that there are 3 public golf courses in Mansfield and listed Westbrook Country Club as one of them. I changed it to read there are "several" public golf courses and removed Westbrook and replaced it with Twin Lakes Golf Club. -Mansfielder

The three golf courses that are inside the City of Mansfield are Coolridge Golf Course, Westbrook Country Club, and Wooldridge Woods Golf & Swim Club. Twin Lakes Golf Club is not inside the City of Mansfield, it is located within Springfield Township, southwest of Mansfield and south of the City of Ontario.—OHWiki (talk) 02:05, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
