Can anybody say what hospital they worked in? Or was it pvt practise? Trekphiler 07:38, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It was actually the real-life Saint John's Hospital and Health Center(now just simply Saint John's Health Center) in Santa Monica, California, but almost everybody here keeps insisting that it was a fictional hospital in L.A.'s Pacific Palisades area called Lang Memorial Hospital...but we TV buffs know better, eh?...of course, Drs. Welby and Kiley shared a private practice out of the Welby house a few blocks from Saint John's...Baldwin91006 (talk) 17:07, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just got through watching a couple of episodes and they did use "Lang Memorial Hospital" for their patients. 99.0.37.134 (talk) 00:52, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Marcus Welby's name seems to be the origin of the name "Marcus Belby" in the Harry Potter series. Erudil 16:17, 20 October 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Das Baz (talkcontribs) It is not "unsigned." Erudil is also my signature. Erudil 17:15, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
