I wasn't able to find any evidence that she was ever in Full House, so I removed this reference. 72.70.11.198 04:05, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maria Bamford Background.[edit]

"Bamford was born at the naval base in Port Hueneme, California (where her father Joe was serving as a Navy doctor), growing up there and in Duluth, Minnesota." There is something wrong here. Or maybe they moved while she was growing up, thus growing up in 2 different places. Mind blowing, I know. Give it a minute to set in. 24.239.169.45 (talk) 18:29, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

many similarities to radio interview[edit]

The intro paragraph to this article uses the same language several times as what is said in this radio interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbRwAu23nxQ / Specifically, "self-deprecating" humor about her "dysfunctional family" and its "surrealistic" elements. This interview should probably be a citation for the article's introduction since it has been tagged as 'citation needed,' that is, unless the interviewer copied the language from this article. The interview is dated 2/9/2010. I'll leave it to others to figure out who copied whom and how it should be cited.

"Rise to Prominence" Seems off[edit]

This label makes it sound like she was an unknown prior to 1998. But she had an appearance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien in 1999, and they don't just bring on any old comic for that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxp-_nLIppI

She had two appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2001. She was featured on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" in 2002, which highlights the big standup comics, not the up-and-comers. It's all there on her IMDB page. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0051469/?ref_=tt_ov_wr

The way the "Rise to Prominence" section is written, it sounds like the author did not become familiar with her until 2008. But her 2007 video series "The Maria Bamford Show" was about the nervous breakdown of an already prominent and successful comedian. This section doesn't really do justice to her earlier career.

Voicework predates Lucky Numbers[edit]

The article says she was in Lucky Numbers in 2000 before starting her voicework, but CatDog premiered in April, 1998 -- That Don Guy (talk) 19:45, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
