Article review

[edit]

I have made several changes to this article created via Article wizard in the process of reviewing it:

  1. Removed html coding and replaced with wikipedia coding
  2. Copyedited for idiomatic English and to remove peacock wording–inappropriate hype and tone for an encyclopedia article
  3. Re-structured the sections per WikiProject Opera article guidelines
  4. Removed excessive detail from past performances
  5. Completely removed future performances per WikiProject Opera article guidelines. This an encyclopedia article not the singer's website. They are inappropriate and can be found on her official website. Only past performances should be recorded once they have actually taken place and can be properly referenced.
  6. Removed link to Facebook fan site per Wikipedia's Guidelines on External links
  7. Removed external links from the article text. They don't belong there. Those that were being used as references have been formatted as such. Others which just lead to the homepage of a particular orgnization with no mention of the subject, e.g. [1] have been removed.
  8. Tagged the references section for the bare urls used with virtually no description of what they are or date of access. Please see Wikipedia:Bare URLs for guidance on how to repair this.
  9. Tagged the article for needing improved referencing. This is a biography of a living person. The details about her family are completely unreferenced, as is the claim to having won the 2002 International Voice Competition of San Remo, as "Best opera singer of 2002". The details about her past performances are referenced solely to concert announcements. Wherever possible, they should be referenced to reviews of the performances. At the moment there is only one review cited in the entire article. Note also that other wikipedia articles cannot be used as references.

Further improvements could be made to the Career section, currently a bulleted list. It should be written as connected prose and incorporated into a biographical narrative. Voceditenore (talk) 08:41, 1 December 2010 (UTC) updated Voceditenore (talk) 09:13, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
