Main page appearance

[edit]

This is to let people know that this article has been scheduled as today's featured article for December 16, 2019, and specifically paging the FAC nominator(s), SchroCat. It would be good if someone checked that the article needs no amendments. Romney’s house

[edit]

This, [1], suggests that Mrs Rundell lived at Romney's House. Might be worth a mention. KJP1 (talk) 08:17, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Year of birth

[edit]

Are we really sure she was born in 1745. If she was born in 1745, than we should not be saying she was "over 60" in 1805. We should say she was 60. For if she was born in 1745, she was 59 and 60 in 1805.John Pack Lambert (talk) 18:03, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I know the maths doesn't quote add up, but this is just reflecting the sources. The OED (and, I think, a couple of others) have her year of birth as 1745, but other sources say she was "over xx" in certain years. We've reflected what is verifiable, not necessarily what we think is the truth, or even what basic maths tells us must be one of the possible ages! - SchroCat (talk) 18:15, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
