Yes, the current and previous first paragraph here is not a proper way to write this kind of bio. The following (which i wrote a while ago) should only be used in a blog or as an extra bit at the end of these kinds of articles, even if it is sourced. I wouldn't know where to find such a source for something very obvious to people that have heard her on TV or radio and then that will be down to opinion. So, unfortunately Mariella's beautiful looks and voice will have to be ommitted for lack of support and evidence, amongst other things. Who's going to do the edits tho? The photo has already gone a while ago.

"Mariella Frostrup (born 12 November 1962 in Oslo, Norway) is a journalist and television presenter, well known on British TV and radio, mainly for arts programs. Apart from striking looks and personality, she has what can only be described as a remarkably beautiful and even sexy voice, being mildly throaty and sophisticated. This has no doubt been 'one of' the key factors in her broadcasting success. [As a side note, her voice was once voted the sexiest female voice on TV celebrities.] Her unique and well known voice is often used on TV commercials as well". - Also UNSUITABLE for Wiki.

That version is almost entirely unsourced POV. It reads like a press release or promotional bio. --OnoremDil 20:49, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, good point. It does sound promotional; but the current one (first paragraph) doesn't sound much better - that was my point. And it is true that she had the type of voice as I described and that increased the appeal for her as a presenter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.212.67.41 (talk) 21:04, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly the case that the present write-up sounds just like a press-/agent-release and not like encyclopedia.

The phrase "where she interviews her extensive list of guests" is meaningless. She interviews guests, not lists! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.132.201.99 (talk) 19:25, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry for starting this whole 'voice' thing off in the first place; in my past naivity i just thought it was unbio not to mention the voice, but that really is a personal thing. But Wiki should be more consistent and try to provide more photos and audio clips for radio celebrities like this and then it will all speak for itself. Even some important actors don't have any photos. ... ? IMDB is the same. It must be hard for agents. In any case, the current description of her voice is poor: 'gravelly' ... ?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.5.30.166 (talk) 13:51, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
