Requested move 10 October 2016[edit]

The result of the move request was: WP:IAR I think I understand what happened here. Erpert moved the page to the correct title with an en-dash. This requested move seems to have been started in error per the em dash in the current title is the wrong length. Please ping me if this closure was incorrect, but as the move is currently phrased, it is requesting to move to an em-dash title, which is incorrect per MOS:ENDASH. (non-admin closure) — Andy W. Oppose per MOS:ENDASH and MOS:EMDASH. See the section "In compounds when the connection might otherwise be expressed with to, versus, and, or between". This is also a bit confusing. Erpert moved this from a spaced en-dash to a non-spaced en-dash article and proceeded to make an RM suggesting the em-dash title. — Andy W. (talk) 01:35, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Article quality[edit]

This thing still needs a lot of work. For starters, there are so many assertions missing citations. Feel free to plunder the list of references I compiled for Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death). Also, as an article, it doesn't feel like it has delved deeply enough into the topic. So many characters involved (or who involved themselves ie pundits) are missing. The Scapegoat Game[edit]

"He says that he has been blamed for more deaths than any musical artist in history." Well, of course he has. That's what happens when you dare challenge the Conservative/Christian status quo. When the death threats didn't work during the Dead to the World Tour, they switched to smearing him. First they tried KGB-style Active measures (anyone remember the rumor about him having his ribs removed?). When that didn't work either (and ironically added to MM's mystique), they had to step it up a notch. Columbine was the right smear at the right time. What's sad is that Manson made a self-conscious effort to tone down his work after that; he sabotaged himself. Video at top[edit]

The video next to the image of Manson is problematic for an enyclopedia. The narrator says that the killers were members of the Trenchcoat Mafia and that they were looking for Jocks to kill.
