It cannot be correct to state that The Story of Ping was popularised by Captain Kangaroo - Captain Kangaroo did not start until some twenty years after The Story first became popular! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.15.138 (talk) 02:52, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Marriages?

[edit]

The Library of Congress reports two "variants" that are likely to be relevant.

Larsson, Marjorie Flack, 1897-1958
Benét, Marjorie Flack, 1897-1958

The books in LC Catalog for Flack include two illustrated by Hilma Larsson, born 1920 (1943, 1944). Three with Karl Larsson, catalogued as

one by MF, illus. KL (1935) [1]
one by MF, illus. FM and KL (1936) [2]
one by MF and KL, illus. KL (1940) [3]

... ah, Hilma Larsson was the daughter of Flack and Karl Larsson. "Guide to the Marjorie Flack Illustrations and Other Material 1928-1947" (materials at U Oregon)

At William Rose Benét we say "Benét's fourth wife, and widow, was children's writer Marjorie Flack. They were married from June 22, 1941 until his death in 1950."
